We don’t have a mod that handles story progression (yet!) we can at least update the families that we split out a little bit easier using cheat codes.
Go to your world view (where you see Willow Creek / Oaisis Springs etc)
- control + shift + c
- testingcheats true
- … and press enter
- cas.fulleditmode
- … and press enter
In the top right hand side click on the Household Management button. This will open up a menu which will show you played and unplayed families. Select the family you want to adjust and you will then be able to edit the family as though it is in Create-A-Sim mode. You will be able to add, remove, adjust etc the sims in more ways than just their clothing and hair style. When you’ve finished, click on the play button.
Granted it isn’t random story progression as we’ve come to know and love from Sims 3, but it is a start!
