Being the owner of a domain has been a challenge, doubly so as I’ve got two. I’ve fallen pray to an email…
Dear Valued GoDaddy Customer Tamara Bahr.
This should have been my first hint that something was wrong. The weird greeting of the email. In hindsight I knew that something about this was weird, “Valued GoDaddy Customer Tamara Bahr”.

I was a little worried about this, there wasn’t any way that this was possible unless something I’d installed had made it’s way into the themes / styles that I’d uploaded. I’m new to the whole creating of websites so I figured it’s possible that I’ve missed something.
The link said godaddy.com but then when I pressed it, it took me through to some other website. I thought this was also weird, then reasoned that it must have been the secure website. D’uh…
Immediately after completing the form with my login details, I knew that I’d stuffed up. I was on the mobile / cell phone them ran to the PC calling to my husband “I messed up! Have to change passwords!” adding a few curse words in there for good measure.
To make things more embarrassing than falling for an email scam like this, I’d also used the same password for everything relating to the website. So I went into speed mode, loading websites and looking for account sections to change my passwords.
