In an effort to try to fix the slow loading times of the website, I installed a few more plugins recommended by GoDaddy. Having done some research, GoDaddy insist that it’s WordPress plugins and say do this and do that to fix the problem. Before I contact GoDaddy, I’m trying everything that I can to speed up the process a little.

I’m still in the process of configuring the first plugin, which has required me to change the way permalinks are set-up. Ok, can do. Basically the plugin required me to change the URL from a number to words-like-this. Which is fine, I have no real preference either way. The WordPress site handles all the changes from number URLs to words internally, so it doesn’t impact the site, much. I’ll have to go through the menu to make sure it all works.

Unfortunately, the change means that anything that has previously linked to a post, is now broken. All of my Facebook and Twitter links up till this particular post are no longer working. As far as I know there isn’t anyway that I can fix it. Which I’m a little bummed about. On the up side, the plugin is now installed, configured and if all goes according to plan, making the load time faster.

Apologies for the link troubles
