ark_survival_evolved_icon_by_iiblack_iceii-d8wlq1eWhen I first started playing Ark, it was with my husband. We had fun starting out and getting into trouble. I remember we needed SO much hide in order to get anywhere and just kept dying whenever we tried. We kept trying. Eventually found out that the hatched gives more hide and it was like the game was opened up to us. We started out as just the two of us, even though we had some friends on the same server. My husband wanted the authentic experience. I didn’t care, so went with it.

Once we had a few dinosaurs tamed, my husband stopped wanting to play. Leaving me on my own. So we packed up the dinosaurs and made the trek from the blue obelisk to the green with roughly 12 dinosaurs. It was great. But the server admins stopped playing, then they stopped installing updates as often and we found another server. The second server was good. Higher gather, faster tame. But the owner, admin and their friends obviously use cheats to get their things. Which is totally their prerogative. It’s their server, they can do what they want. Then alpha’s were introduced to the game. Server admin summoned one. Force tamed it. Said they wanted to check the stats. Then claimed it as their own. In about a week there was only 1 alpha seen. Which was spotted by admin. Whenever the lack of alpha’s was brought up, they’d say that they can only be spawned. Which isn’t true. When alphas came out they were a free for all, the server had no options.
