Our server had an issue with the all color mod, it ruined our dinosaurs. In order to make sure that people could still play, without being eaten by invisible dinosaurs the mod was disabled. This meant everyone on the server lost their tames. We lost our high and low-level carno (Carnie Arnie and Unnamed) as well as a high level argie (Hilary Clinton). As server admin, I replaced the saddles and gave some kibble to retame. This left us with no aggressive dinosaurs, only a “battle trike” Teddy Roosevelt.

Yesterday I tamed two replacement argies (Hilary Clinton #2 and Jimmy Kimmel), flew over to Death Island (^{little island top right of the map}) and saw an alpha carno. We didn’t have anything that I felt could kill it.

I logged in today and saw a low-level carno just up the hill, so lured it into a little taming pen and proceeded to tamed it. Gordon Ramsay, the 30 something level carno joined our ranks.

When Sulas logged in today, he went to check on the alpha. It was still there. He then decided that Teddy Roosevelt (level 105~ trike), Gorgon Ramsay (level 30~ carno), George Washington (level 60~ trike) and Chris Rock (level 103 steggo) were good enough to kill it. We charged. Unfortunately, George and Chris charged a little too much and got the alpha carno and themselves stuck on a rock. Without the attacking force of Teddy and Gordon, they both died in battle (RIP). But the alpha carno died, no loot. Our carno got an insane amount of levels and became quite beefy level 80 something.

We ran around the island and spotted a level 116 trex. Now, my husband like to do things you probably shouldn’t. Like tame something on Death Island. But with the taming speed turned up to x20 for the weekend and him on Teddy, he decided that this is what he was going to do. Regardless of how many tranq arrows were needed. Between us, we had 70. While shooting the trex, he was also turning his normal arrows into tranq arrows. When he had to turn around to exchange bows, I was shooting rocks at its face from high up on the cliff from the sling shot I’d made. I didn’t think it would fall, when it did we charged down. Fed the trex some prime meat that we had from the alpha and he went off looking for more.

After two trips back to the Trex, he went around the island again and found an alpha raptor. Feeling ballsy, he charged in. Care to the wind on what else was around. He killed it. Everything. He’s got the timing down on the trike. So he’s raced back again, gave me the prime and within 30 mins, we had a level 116 +57 levels (give or take) trex.

It. Is. A. Beast.
