Eevee is a Pokemon in the Pokemon Go game that evolves into one of three possibilities. If your luck is terrible you’ll end up with multiple copies of two and none of the last one you want. People have discovered a way to chance your destiny.
If you change Eevee’s name to one of the following three, you’ll get the corresponding Pokemon evolution.
- Sparky = Jolteon
- Rainer = Vaporeon
- Pyro = Flareon
Some people have reported that it works the first time, but doesn’t the second. This has been explained by other users with the server not registering the second name change and recommend that you close the app and then restart it to ensure that the name change was saved.
Eevee is in reference an anime, where the evolutions were named after the three gods Sparky, Pyro and Flareon.
