The Merchant Alliance in Sea of Thieves requires you to find animals on specific islands throughout the map. Below is a table that contains all reported/confirmed locations of animals. These quests are cumbersome however, lucrative.

Once you purchase the mission from the vendor you have to place and then vote for it. When the quest has been activated, you then have to return to the vendor in order to obtain the coops, pens and or baskets for each of the animals required. Each individual animal has their own basket. Once you’ve collected the animals, you need to take them back to the correct outpost. These missions often have you travelling to a handful of islands before being completed.

• Chickens – have no care requirements
• Pigs – need to be fed bananas when they cry, else they starve and die
• Snakes – need to have music played in order to catch them and placed somewhere out of sight of other animals/people to avoid being spat on with venom

How spawns work

Each non-fort or non-outpost island has been assigned 1-2 animals that can spawn when you arrive. However, this does not guarantee that they will be spawned when you arrive on the island itself. For example, Old Faithful Island has been allocated chickens and pigs. Snakes will not spawn there. You may visit and find only chickens or pigs, you may also visit and find both chickens and pigs. You can also show up and there will be no animals at all. Additionally, the animals may spawn but not be the correct colour.
