On the 12th January, 2017 EA surprised the entire community by adding toddlers to the game with a FREE update to Sims 4. In the announcement post on the official Sims 4 website, Simguru Lyndsay says that “this update is a result of hearing what you, the players, really want from The Sims 4 – so please keep sharing your feedback and screenshots with us on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr & Instagram!”. This was such a delight to see and everyone is loving it.
This felt like a huge sense of accomplishment and made me want to play the game as soon as I could. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to update the game until overnight and since then I’ve had limited time to be able to sit down and play. However, what I have experienced has been brilliant. The game feels like a challenge, they’ve made toddlers fun and needy, without being overbearing.
I started a new household with twins (1 boy and 1 girl) to just get in and start playing. Since I’ve had a little bit of a play around, I’m now super excited to spend time with my main family and introduce some toddlers to the game.
Let me know in the comments below what you think of toddlers being added to the game and what you’ve done since they’ve been introduced. If you’re wanting to add a toddler to your game ASAP, you can always edit your family, read more about it here.
